MP3 Streaming May Be in Trouble
An article in TechNewsWorld reports that a new bill sponsored by the RIAA may require that internet audio streams use Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology. This would mean that the only legal streaming technology is the Windows Media format. If this bill becomes a law, the Shoutcast and Real streams at WMPG (the station that airs Blunt) would no longer be legal. RadioFalmouth.org would be able to continue streaming as they already use the Windows Media format.
