Reviews for the Weekend of October 7

Flight Plan (late review)

When a woman's husband dies in Germany, she feels she needs to take her daughter away from that environment. Unfortunately, the woman's choice to go to America will cause her to lose her daughter. In mid-flight, the woman's daughter mysteriously vanishes into thin air.

The film is pretty good, however the film becomes very slow in the middle. The film also has no great twist at the end. In fact, I was surprised at how simple it was to figure out what happened. It was almost as if it were "too obvious to be what I thought" so I dismissed my theory. Then when it turned out I was right in the first place, I was surprised.

Overall it was an okay movie, but it did not meet my expectations. Red Eye was the better of the two "airplane thrillers" this year.

Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were Rabbit

Nick Park has done it again. In 2000 I was amazed by the highly entertaining chicken run. Now, the British Television show I've been watching since I was six, has become a full length motion film. This film completely lived up to the original show, and absolutely blew me away with terrific characters, witty jokes, and amazing detail and craftsmanship.

This film is excellent and EVERYONE should go see it.
