Movies for Friday October 28

Saw 2 - I have not seen the first Saw, however this movie seems like a very well made psychological thriller.

The Weather Man - This looks like an excellent feel-good movie. Nicolas Cage rarely makes a bad film.

The Legend of Zorro - This is just my opinion, but taking an excellent action film and then making a PG rated sequel is not a good move. I loved the first one, but this one looks very childish compared to the first.

Prime - This looks like a funny film, however this seems as though it will be one of Meryl Streep's weakest performances.

Next Week: Disney's Chicken Little and Jarhead

Mike-
Saw had all the potential to be a fantastic thriller, but fell short due to really (really) poor acting. But the premise is awesome and definitely gets you thinking. I rarely actually go to the movies anymore because of the cost and the continually shortening time from big screen to DVD, but tonight I might drag my husband out to see Saw II. Bad acting or not, the first one was really spine-tingling and I'm betting on the same from this sequel.

I love Meryl S. but I also think it is a weak role for her. I saw her interview on Today and it did nothing to make me think I should run out to see that particular movie. Keep up the reviews, It will save me the time and effort to get movies I probably wouldn't enjoy as much as I thought I would.
