Zathura is the third film based on a book by Chris Van Allsburg. Though the trailer doesn’t make this film appear to be an Academy Award winner I think that this film could turn out to be very good. I think this because I have never liked Van Allsburg as an author. Jumanji bored me and The Polar Express is, in my opinion, one of the worst children’s books ever written.

When Jumanji came out in theaters I was still very young, but I thought it looked looked like a waste of time. The film turned out to be absolutely fantastic. I also had no desire to see “The Polar Express” when it was released in theaters last November, but I saw it nonetheless. It has to have been one of the best CGI films I have ever seen. I could not believe that this was a film version of the Van Allsburg book. So because of past experiences I have high hopes for “Zathura.”
